Op m'n fiets

It's true, it's true--I've horribly neglected my blog since, since, well...SINCE I GOT THE BICYCLE!!!

Dutch residents--Hi, Lori, I'll write back soon!--may recognize the place as the Huizen harbor entry and the bike as a Batavus Staccato. It is more like riding a horse or motorcycle than a bicycle. It's big (oversized frame for my gangly self), slightly heavy, maneuverable in town but gliding nicely over tiled or graveled fietpad--a very well adapted, evolved machine. I love it and have put 300 kilometers on it already, even to Amsterdam, over the Stichtse and Hollandse bridges, to S'Graveland...so now you know why I haven't been posting.
 

Much much more coming soon. From now on, I'll post (at a minimum) when my legs are too sore to ride.
